Fishing

There is great fishing in the many lakes, rivers, and streams in the area. Flagstaff Lake and Rangley Lake. Carrabassett River, Dead River, and Spencer Stream, just to name a few. The north and south branches of the Dead River, Chain of Ponds and the Carrabassett River are excellent areas for the fly fisherman seeking trophy size trout and salmon. Flagstaff Lake (Maines fourth largest lake), with its 300 mile of wilderness shoreline and shallow depths, is perfect for small boats and canoes. Trout, salmon, and pickerel can be caught in its waters and it is considered the best lake in the northeast for pickerel fishing. Take a look at some pictures

Snowmobilers have access to over 130 miles of perfectly groomed trails through God's country,

right out of the back door. Trailer parking available.

For over thirty years, the members of the Maine Snowmobile Association (MSA) have been building and maintaining a system of snow trails for the enjoyment of all who love to explore the winter landscape.

From its early tracings of snowmobile-dragged pathways from dooryard to dooryard in rural areas of the state, the system has grown to over 12,000 miles of groomed and marked trail, connecting communities from the suburbs of southern Maine, downeast to the coastal plains, through the western and northwestern highlands and on to the deep woods and farmlands of northern Maine.
